Attention & Learning Lab
Welcome to the Attention & Learning Lab at the University of Manitoba! The lab is located in the Department of Psychology and is directed by Dr. Nick Brosowsky
In our lab we study attention—a set of cognitive processes that manages and prioritizes sensory information, thoughts, and actions that are most relevant to our goals.
We use computational and behavioural methods to: 1.) investigate the basic cognitive mechanisms that allow people to adaptively regulate attention in response to the dynamic demands of everyday life; and 2.) explain the role of attention regulation in applied contexts such as creativity, education, and skill learning.
